Adam Millstein Biography - Center Stage Strings

Adam Millstein is a 21 year old violinist pursuing his Bachelors Degree at the University of Michigan with Danielle Belen.

A native of Los Angeles, he was the winner of the Colburn School of Performing Arts Concerto Competition and soloed with the Colburn Youth Orchestra live on the radio as a result.

Mr. Millstein has worked alongside artists such as Sarah Chang, James Ehnes, the Calidore Quartet, and the International Contemporary Ensemble. He is already a passionate pedagogue, the youngest on staff for the University of Michigan’s pre-college School of Performing Arts program with a growing studio of his own.

Mr. Millstein has also served as returning guest concertmaster to the Adrian Symphony Orchestra. He has spent four summers thus far at the Aspen Music Festival and will act as Concertmaster of the Aspen Philharmonic Orchestra as a result of his invitation to serve as an Orchestral Leadership Fellow for summer 2017.

Mr. Millstein will solo with the Tulare County Symphony Orchestra in November 2017 and will go on tour with Ms.Sarah Chang in the Spring of 2018.

He plays on a Giovanni Baptista Ceruti violin made in 1800 in Cremona.
